RAISING AWARENESS FOR MENTAL HEALTH
A Happier, Healthier Community
The Community Mental Health Project is an organization of local citizens dedicated to raising public awareness of mental health issues and mobilizing community members to advocate for inclusive, community-centered policies.
We believe that mental health is a fundamental part of community well-being and should be treated as a shared responsibility. By educating the public, sharing lived experiences, and fostering open dialogue, we aim to reduce stigma and build a culture of understanding, empathy, and support.
The Community Mental Health Project also works to ensure that policy decisions reflect the real needs of our community. Through grassroots organizing, local partnerships, and civic engagement, we strive to influence decisions that improve access to care, uphold dignity, and make mental health a visible and sustained priority.
AWARENESS
Mental health affects all of us, yet it’s too often overlooked in public life. We raise awareness through education, storytelling, and community conversations that challenge stigma and build understanding.
ADVOCACY
Policy change starts close to home. We advocate for inclusive, community-centered policies that support mental health, substance use recovery, and services for people living with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
ACTION
We promote civic engagement around mental health policy at the ballot box. By helping residents understand how mental health intersects with local elections, we empower them to make informed choices that shape community priorities.
